ABSTRACT
Objective To analyze the distribution, survival conditions, and medical support of newly diagnosed occupational pneumoconiosis (hereinafter referred to as pneumoconiosis) patients in Zhangdian District, Zibo City. Methods A total of 1 189 newly diagnosed pneumoconiosis patients in Zhangdian District from 1956 to 2019 were selected as the study subjects using retrospective method. Data of their age of onset, years of occupational exposure, category of working industry, type of pneumoconiosis, and status of medical support was collected and analyzed. Results The median and the 25th-75th percentiles ［M (P25, P75)］ of the age of onset were 51.8 (45.5, 56.1) years, and the mortality was 37.0%. The majority of pneumoconiosis cases were silicosis (45.2%) and coal workers' pneumoconiosis (39.8%). The highest prevalence of pneumoconiosis was in the coal mining and washing industry (42.4%), followed by manufacturing (33.4%). Pneumoconiosis patients in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ, and Ⅲ accounted for 89.1%, 8.7%, and 2.2%, respectively. The M (P25, P75) of the length of work exposed to dust were 24.1 (16.5, 29.9) years.The higher stage of pneumoconiosis the shorter of the length of work exposed to dust among these pneumoconiosis patients(all P<0.05). The overall survival rate, the 5-year survival rate and the 10-year survival rate of these pneumoconiosis patients were 63.0%, 92.3% and 85.9%, respectively. Among the 749 surviving cases, 60.8% were aged 60.0 to <80.0 years. In terms of social security, 100.0% surviving cases enjoyed basic medical insurance, meanwhile, 96.1% and 81.8% patients were covered by major medical insurances and occupational injury insurances, respectively. The M (P25, P75) of age at death were 73.1 (64.0, 77.1) years. The main causes of death were respiratory diseases (59.3%) and malignant tumors (20.4%). Conclusion The prevalent types of pneumoconiosis in Zhangdian District, Zibo City, are coal workers' pneumoconiosis and silicosis. Medical support and assistance are relatively limited. The pneumoconiosis prevention and control focus should be on silicosis and coal workers' pneumoconiosis, particularly in the manufacturing industry.

ABSTRACT
Objective To improve the diagnosis and treatment of hip gouty arthritis.Methods Retrospective analysis of cases of gouty arthritis from 2014 January to 2017 March was conducted.Patients with gouty arthritis were divided into hip joint group and common joint group (without invaded hip) and hip joint group was further divided into acute group and chronic group.Clinical data of each group were compared.Results Compared with common joint group,hip joint group usually combined with obesity or previous ipsilateral hip trauma history.Male patients in hip joint group were younger and the patients with unilateral hip involvement were without obvious local swelling,heat and pain.CT scan and sonography can provide assistance for early diagnosis and operation or pathological diagnosis was needed for the confirmation when necessary.Conclusions Hip gouty arthritis lacks specific diagnostic criteria in clinic,and is easily confused with other diseases associated with hip.Therefore,the possibility of the hip gouty arthritis should be taken into consideration when the diagnosis of the hip disease is not clear.

OBJECTIVE:To ensure the stability of electronic data capture(EDC)system in drug clinical trials and to improve the quality of drug clinical trials. METHODS:The quality control system for EDC system was established and introduced from the formulation of quality control process,establishment of data standard,trial project management,daily management,trial project design,system operation,system function,etc. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:Data standard have been achieved through estab-lishing EDC quality control system by our hospital based on attributable,legible,contemporaneous,original and accurate principle. The management of trial project and daily management are conducted through data registration,staff training,the formulation of da-ta management plan,fault emergency treatment,database backup;multiple verification of support data,data lock and export,trial report autogeneration and other functions have been realized by formulating related standard operation instruction,program file,op-eration manual and quality record. Those aspects improve facticity,accuracy and integrality of data in clinical trials,and lay a foun-dation for further data mining.
ABSTRACT
Objective In the present study, we investigated the effects of advanced oxidation protein products(AOPP) on reactive oxygen species(ROS) production in murine osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells by NADPH oxidase enzymes pathway. Methods Experiments were divided into three groups, including control group, rats albumin(RSA) group, and AOPP group. Different concentrations of AOPP were added to the osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells culture medium. The production of ROS in MC3T3-E1 cells was measured by the fluorescence intensity of intracellular fluoroprobe ( DCFD ) . In order to verify the effect of enzyme of the production of ROS, the specific inhibitors of corresponding enzymes were added in the MC3T3-E1 cells which were cultured in the medium with AOPP. Finally, western blot and immunofluorescence were used to observe the changes of NADPH oxidase enzymes subunits. Results Different concentrations of AOPP (50,100,200μg/ml) induced MC3T3-E1 cells to produce different amount of ROS. The higher concentrations of AOPP were added, the more ROS were produced. Furthermore,200μg/ml AOPP induced the maximum amount of ROS production(P<0. 05). Meanwhile, AOPP induced MC3T3-E1 cells to produce different amount of ROS with a time-dependent manner. The peak amount of ROS production in MC3T3-E1 cells was observed in 3h when AOPP were added (P<0. 05). In addition, when specific inhibitors of corresponding enzymes were added in the MC3T3-E1 cells, the production of ROS were significantly suppressed by C-SOD, DPI, and apocynin(P<0. 05). On the other hand, AOPP can up-regulate the expression of Nox4 protein of the MC3T3-E1 cells, which is one of the subunits of NADPH oxidase enzymes. Meanwhile, AOPP can also induce the membrane migration of p47phox subunit. Conclusion AOPP induces osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells to produce ROS by NADPH oxidase enzymes pathway, and which may be one of the pathogenesis of AOPP involved in osteoporosis.

OBJECTIVE:To promote the supervision and management of clinical trial by institution. METHODS:The structure and function of clinical trial management system(CTMS)developed by our hospital and other enterprise together were analyzed to evaluate the application and operation result of CTMS. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:CTMS of our hospital is made up of foun-dation,efficiency and strategy. It is equipped with role allocation,information exchange and report,information warning,drug tracking,clinical trial process control,quality control of electronic record,electronic signature and integration and connection with other system,etc. Relevant operation procedure is established to promote standardization and institutionalization of CTMS. Due to the application of CTMS,the cooperation among departments become smoother,and management level have been enhanced in dai-ly management,pharmacy management,subjects and document administration. It also simplifies the work of researcher and reduc-es the human error by the autogeneration of trial records and tables with the system. Consequently,the monitor coveraged through-out all the trial process.
ABSTRACT
A total of 62 disk-shaped specimens in the size of 30 mm (diameter) ×2 mm (layer thickness) were made with auto-polymerized acrylic resin (2 specimens for infrared spectrum comparison and 60 specimens for tests of water sorption and solubility). Duration of Ar plasma application was 2 minutes and plasma power applied was 60 W. Storage intervals were 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, and 12 months, separately. A control group and a corresponding experimental group were set for each storage interval, with 6 specimens per group. All specimens were weighted 3 times, i.e., initial weight; weigh after absorption of distilled water, and final weight after desiccation. Percentages of water absorption and solubility of auto-polymefized acrylic resin were calculated. Results revealed that after Ar plasma treatment, C-H structure of auto-polymerized acrylic resin was reduced; following 1-month storage interval, water absorption percentage was significantly lower in the experimental group than in the control group; following 1-day, 1-week, and 1-month storage interval, the experimental group exhibited significantly lower solubility of auto-polymerized acrylic resin, compared to the control group (P<0.05). These results indicated that within 1-month storage, Ar plasma treatment can decrease water sorption and solubility of auto-polymerized acrylic resin.
